4:5 is the most valuable ratio in ecommerce paid social. At 1080×1350 px it is the tallest image Meta will render in-feed, which means more screen for the same impression than 1:1 without triggering a crop.
What 4:5 means
A 4:5 frame is 0.8 times as wide as it is tall. Multiply the width by 5/4 to get the height. 1080×1350 is the platform-recommended size; 2160×2700 is a safe master for downscaling.
Where it is used
Instagram and Facebook feed, Instagram portrait posts, Shopify product galleries and Pinterest standard-adjacent placements. It is the default ratio to start from if you only have budget to produce one asset.
